Llandudno weekend 2024 day 3

On the Sunday there were two walks on offer, both of which took in Aber Falls.  The longer walk was from Llanfairfechan and involved an uphill climb against strong wind but we were rewarded with fantastic views over to Anglesey, Puffin Island and down as far as Bangor Pier.  We encountered yet more ponies, though the ones in the first picture were pets and very friendly.  The second group walked from Abergwyngregyn and got to the falls about an hour before us.   After all the wet weather they were spectacular, and even better most walkers didn’t realise there was a second falls further along on the route.   Back in Abergwyngregyn we were delighted to find that Alma’s Cafe was still open, despite the rain that had come in later in the afternoon. Some of us treated ourselves to ice cream and coffee, very welcome.

In the evening we were all a bit worn out so refreshed ourselves with either tea at the hotel (along with a toasty fire, which set off the fire alarm!) or at the Palladium.
